ITAR Classification

Argus Eyes systems are classified under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) as:

  • USML Category XI: Military electronics and communications equipment
  • Controlled Technology: Signal intelligence and electronic surveillance systems
  • Export License Required: All international transfers require State Department approval

Export Administration Regulations (EAR)

Certain components may also be subject to EAR controls:

  • ECCN: Export Control Classification Numbers apply to specific subsystems
  • Dual-Use Technology: Components with both civilian and military applications
  • Commerce Control List: Subject to Bureau of Industry and Security oversight

Prohibited Destinations

Export and transfer are prohibited to:
